A closer look at hosting for global teams.
Hosting from Ireland for global teams
Ireland is a hub for many of the world's largest enterprise employers, and October Health works with a meaningful share of them. For IACP, PSI, IAHIP and BACP-registered practitioners based in Ireland, hosting on October offers a way to reach those employers' wider workforces — across Ireland, the UK, EMEA and the US — through live, group-based educational sessions, alongside a private practice.
Irish-time sessions overlap with UK, mainland European and US East Coast working hours, giving Ireland-based hosts unusually flexible schedule options. You set the pace; we handle audience, platform and payments.
What hosting looks like for Ireland-based practitioners
A typical session is 50 minutes, live, with audio or video and an interactive chat. Audiences are employees at October partner organisations — sometimes ten people, sometimes two hundred, depending on topic and employer. You bring your topic and your craft; October provides everything else.
Topic demand from our employer customers includes anxiety, low mood, burnout, sleep, perinatal mental health, ADHD and neurodivergence, grief and bereavement, men's mental health, parenting and adjustment. Sessions are educational and group-based, not 1:1 therapy, and you host strictly within your scope of practice.
Who we approve in Ireland
We approve current IACP, PSI, IAHIP, BACP, ICP or NAPCP-registered counsellors and psychotherapists, and PSI-registered or chartered psychologists. CORU-registered clinicians (where the relevant designation applies) are equally welcome. Coaches are approved with an ICF (ACC, PCC, MCC) or EMCC credential, or equivalent qualification recognised in Ireland or the UK.
Beyond credentials, we look for clinicians who can hold groups well and frame their work for an employer audience. Specialty areas with strong enterprise demand include perinatal mental health, sleep, ADHD-informed practice, and trauma-informed wellbeing.
How earnings work for Ireland-based hosts
Ireland-based hosts typically earn £40–£100 per hosted session, paid monthly into your nominated bank account. The exact rate is set when your application is approved and reflects your registration, experience and specialty.
October handles invoicing and payment. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for declaring your hosting income through Revenue, which is straightforward alongside an existing private practice and well within typical sole-trader thresholds.
