Hosting from Australia for global teams
October Health partners with global enterprise customers, including a growing set of organisations with significant Australian workforces. For AHPRA-registered psychologists, ACA and PACFA-registered counsellors, AASW-accredited social workers and ICF-credentialed coaches in Australia, hosting on October is a way to do meaningful group-based educational work — with audiences across Australia, Asia-Pacific and beyond — at session rates calibrated against global demand.
Australian-time sessions overlap cleanly with APAC and West-Coast US working hours, giving Australia-based hosts a strong slate of available time slots without needing to host outside their preferred hours.
What hosting looks like for Australian practitioners
A typical session is 50 minutes, live, with audio or video and an interactive chat. Audiences are employees at October partner organisations, with attendance ranging from intimate groups to several hundred.
Topic demand includes anxiety, depression, burnout, sleep, ADHD and neurodivergence, perinatal mental health, grief, identity, men's mental health, parenting and adjustment. Coaches host on leadership, performance, transitions and mental fitness. Sessions are educational and group-based — not Medicare-eligible 1:1 therapy — and you host within your AHPRA or accrediting body's scope of practice.
Who we approve in Australia
We approve current AHPRA-registered psychologists (clinical, counselling, educational, or general registration), ACA or PACFA-registered counsellors, AASW-accredited social workers, and CRANAplus or relevant nursing-registered mental health nurses. Coaches are approved with an ICF (ACC, PCC, MCC) or EMCC credential or equivalent qualification.
Beyond credentials, we look for clinicians who hold groups well, communicate clearly with non-clinical employer audiences and can frame their work for working adults. Specialty areas with high enterprise demand include sleep, ADHD-informed practice, perinatal mental health, and Indigenous mental health (with cultural authority and lived experience).
How earnings work for AU hosts
Australia-based hosts typically earn USD 60–140 per hosted session, paid monthly in USD into your nominated bank account. Exchange to AUD is handled at your bank's rate. The exact session rate is set when your application is approved and reflects your registration, experience and specialty.
October handles invoicing and payment. You operate as an independent contractor — Australian hosts manage their own ABN, GST registration (if applicable) and ATO declaration, which most clinicians are already set up for through their private practice.
